It is good to hear from you and your interests in our family. Yes I have been researching our family ever sins my son was born 40 years ago. I do have information about different family members , but it is scratchy at the best. The once that do have the memories of the family and the war will not share it with me. In 1996 I went back to Holland to see my two oldest sisters that had not seen for almost 40 years. Nida who is the oldest would not talk about the war, but Coby did and it left her with a nervous breakdown that lasted for over two year. Most of my family just want to forget it and go on with life the best they can. I on the other hand wont the memory to be told and not forgotten.
My son and his three daughter need this history to be keep alive and understood as a reminder of what a rich family history we have.
I am not a very educated man and my schooling wasn’t the greatest. So have struggled to do my best with no help from the family who by the way do have a better education then I have, but that usually the way it is. I live in Canada and my email is bigleonardus@gmail.com
