Verhaal

Max Blancke was my Grandfather

Door:

My father Hans Blancke was his son. He went into hiding after being released by mistake from camp Westerborke. He married my mother after the war who was a Protestant German and had two sons in Germany before they came to the U.S.. They had my sister a few years later and then me. My father did not talk much about his parents who does in a concentration camp. My mother told me a little about what happened. My father raised us and we all went to college and had good careers and all had children who also went to college and currently have good careers. My dear Papa passed away in 2005 and I till miss him terribly. My mother passed away in 1994 and I miss her very much too. Written by Hans' youngest daughter Sonja Blancke Steis.
