Tijdens mijn zoektocht naar Machiel en Marie van Moppes-Salomon ontving ik deze mail van Ewa Bazan, werkzaam bij het Auschwitz Museum, via het mailadres "Auschwitz Archives". Deze informatie spreekt de gegeven informatie van "Nationaal Monument Kamp Westerbork" tegen. Daar staat zijn deportatie vanuit Westerbork naar Auschwitz op 19 mei in tegenstelling tot plaats en datum, die hieronder genoemd worden.

Thank you for your information request about your relatives. I would like to inform you that in incomplete KL Auschwitz documentation, I found only some information about Machiel van Moppes :
Machiel van Moppes born June 14, 1905 in Amsterdam, was deported to Auschwitz from Mechelen on May 21, 1944. He was registered and received his camp serial number A-2711. He was employed in the labor squad for Deutsche Ausrüstungswerke (DAW). On January 28, 1945 he was transferred via KL Gross-Rosen to KL Dachau concentration camp. There is no information about his further fate.
