The Joodsche Raad's card Reina de Vries-Spier (filled in Enschede - we think)
They helped with household chores and with the lab of the skin doctor.
A picture we found of my Opa, Oma, Tante Fre and Tante Belia preparing food parcels for Reina and other survivors (friends, family and saviors of my aunt) sent from New York to Holland. The parcels were numbered and Reina distributes them in Holland to whoever needs them. She acknowledges and thanks to the family in New York for everything , and when her due date becomes closer she tells them she is saving the candies for after the birth to treat her co-workers....She also sends tulip bulbs to her family in the States as a token of gratitude...So Dutch!!!

When they got the first sign from Reina her parents, aunt and sisters who managed to flee from Amsterdam in May 1940 and get to the U.S. sent packages with food, clothes and supplies to Reina who divided them up between family members and friends. Members of the extended family in Canada and England helped too. Reina thanks them throughout and also finds an original way to show her gratitude . In February she sends tulip bulbs to the States to the family.....
