Abraham Poons en zijn vrouw Vrouwtje Poons-Cohen stonden in het Algemeen Politieblad van 7 januari 1943 geregistreerd als onderduikers. Zij zaten op de Heerengracht 76a in Leiden ondergedoken, in dezelfde straat als hun woonadres. Op no. 76a zaten nog drie andere onderduikers.
