Bierer family history

„Heinrich Bierer was the son of Salomon (Shlomo Eisig) Bierer, who died in Stettin in 1934 and was buried there, and Clara Bierer née Weingarten, who died 1937 in Worms and was buried there.

Heinrich Bierer left Galicia at the age of 4 and after a short stay in Vienna, settled, with his parents and his only sister, in Stettin, (north Germany, now belonging to Poland).

Heinrich Bierer made 4 doctorates, in Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and Bern. Considered by many a Genius, intellectually. He remained single and made a living as a lawyer in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

In October 1938, after the Kristallnacht, he emigrated, illegally, to the Netherlands. It seems, he was interned in a camp (Hoek van Holland?) of which he became the Head? (uncertain about this).

Heinrich Bierer had 1 sister, 2 years younger, Dora (Dvora), who died in 1955 and was buried in Milano. She was married to Moritz Cymbalista, in Worms. They had 1 son, Norbert Cymbalista, born 1926 in Worms, now living in Switzerland. He is a Real Estate developer and philanthropist (f.i. The Cymbalista Synagogue and Jewish Heritage Center, on the campus of Tel Aviv University).”
