Paul Feiwel Korngold was a factory owner (Fabrikbesitzer) and lived with his wife Martha Korngold-Hecht (married since 1912) at Leibnizstr. 57 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. They emigrated to Amsterdam on 02.06.1939, lived briefly in Hilversum, then Amsterdam again. They were incarcerated in Westerbork Camp from 01.06.1943. They were deported to Bergen-Belsen, and died on a train that stalled in Tröbitz, ostensibly on its way to Theresienstadt Ghetto. Over 700 people died on this "lost train."
