Thea came to the Netherlands in December 1938 and stayed in the Bondshuis in Driebergen, after which she moved to Huize Cromvlietin Hte Hague and the orphanage in The Hague. Only in December 1941 she moved in with her parents in Amsterdam.
Her father came to the Netherlands in December 1938 as well.
The family wanted to emigrate to the US.
