Correction of the above

Most of the information stated in the comment above is incorrect. Bram (Abraham) was a communist and a member of the OSP, like most of the Korpers. But he did not have a brother named Emmanuel, he did have a nephew named Emanuel (1921-1943). Emanuel died in a concentration camp, as did Bram. It is not likely that Bram committed suicide in Auschwitz Birkenau, as he was selected to go to the gas chambers immediately after his arrival in Birkenau (this information can be found in the NIOD file on the transport of April 5, 1944 – the transport he and his son Rodi were on.) Bram was survived by a brother Simon and a sister Rosa, my grandmother.
