Hartog Con and his family

Hartog Con and Alida Kuit also had a daughter Elisabeth. Hartog Con was a quiet, decent man. He came from a family with twelve children. He was a member of the board of a small synagogue in the Mauritsstraat, which had opened circa 1936/1937. He was a diamond cleaver/merchant. As a diamond cleaver he also had students. He earned a good living. Alida Kuit was a very good, homy mother. She came from a family with six children. She was a nice person and well loved with family and friends. She used to be a diamond cutter. In the early years of her marriage she helped her husband and then she became a housewife. Hartog Con and Alida Kuit had a completely kosher household.
