Maurits Polak and his family

The household of Maurits Polak and Anna Kaas included their son Jules Carel Polak and another child with a spouse, both of whom survived the war. Shortly after their wedding in 1943 the spouse caught scarlet fever, and as a result their deportation was postponed.

Maurits Polak was a salesman of the Herman Godschalk food industry.
He was also a good cellist.

After the deportation of Maurits and Jules Polak, from 1 July 1943, their house became the headquarters of the Colonne Henneicke, a group so-called jewshunters.

Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos files reveal that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 14027(4364)/7479).
