Coenraad (also called Coene) Mesritz was a son of Elias Mesritz and Zwaantje Bargeboer. He married Hanna van der Kaars, daughter of Jacobus van der Kaars and Mina van Oosten.
Coene Mesritz had a textile business on Molenstraat 19 in Meppel. Before his marriage he had a small shop on the Vledderstraat. In June 1942 the shop was closed down by the occupying forces. Coene Mesritz was transported on 31 July 1942 to labor camp Orvelte. On 3 October he was brought to Westerbork where he saw his wife again.
Roosje Nathans-van der Kaars was a sister of Hanna Mesritz-van der Kaars. In 1916 Roosje Nathans-van der Kaars married Nathan Nathans and since 1919 she was his widow. The couple did not have children. In February 1941 Roosje Nathans-van der Kaars had moved to Meppel. She lived with her sister and brother-in-law. From the half of September 1942 she lived for a few weeks on Woldstraat 76. On 3 October 1942 she was picked up from this address and deported to Westerbork.
