Siegfried Groenman and Rosa de Raaij were married at Westerbork transit camp on 9 August 1943. Siegfried, a manufacturer, was a son of the deceased Mozes Groenman and of Alida Koster. Rosa, a modiste, (maker and seller of ladies' hats) was a daughter of the diamond worker Raphaël de Raaij and Dorothea Bino. Lea Nora Groenman, a sister of the bridegroom, served as a witness at the wedding. She signed the marriage certificate.
