Philip de Paauw, a son of Aron de Paauw and Rebecca Carels, married 21 August 1902 in Amsterdam to Marianne van de Kar, a daughter of David van de Kar and Heintje Schraal. The couple had six children, of whom one son survived the war, however not his wife Henriette de Paauw-de Jong and daughter Marianne. The other children of Philip de Paauw and Marianne van de Kar, Rebecca, David and the at home with their parents living Samuel and Willem have been killed all during the Holocaust.
