About Leentje Gans-Nikkelsberg

Leentje Nikkelsberg was a daughter of Samuel Nikkelsberg and Hendrika Roet. She was married three times: her first marriage was to Joseph Isaac van Kreeveld, who passed away 18 February 1892, aged 22, and who was interred in the Jewish Cemetery at Zeeburg. Her son from this marriage was Isaac van Kreeveld and her daughter was Hendrica van Kreeveld.
Leentjes second marriage was in Amsterdam on 10 January 1894 to Juda Haamerslag, (passed away on 5 January 1911), a son of David Haamerslag and Elisabeth Gans. From this marriage three children were born: Judic, Elisabeth and Roosje, (who was married to Joseph Boas and Isidor Rabinowitsch).
Her third marriage was on 4 September 1917 in Bussum to Isaac Gans, who lived in the Old Peoples Resthome at Plantage Parklaan 6 upperhouse in Amsterdam (560805).

Leentje Nikkelsberg was carried off to Westerbork on 9 January 1943, where she still had to stay for some time. On 2 March, she has been deported to Sobibor with the first of the 19 transports to Sobibor. This transport, with in total 1105 deportees, was still in passenger wagons. Later transport went in cattle waggons. Leentje arrived in Sobibor on 5 March 1943 and immediately upon arrival there, she was murdered in the gas chambers.
