Isidor Baer lived in the Zweibrückerstrasse 28 in Pirmasens, Germany until 1938. He was co-owner of a drapery shop on the Hauptstrasse 45, together with his brother. Isidor was married.
On May 1, 1928, the following rhyme was placed in the local newspaper:
"In's Bäre kannst du billig kaufen,
Du brauchst nicht nach dem Jahrmarkt laufen.
Nimm's Fritz'l mit dem kleinen Sohn,
Es kriegt umsomst den Luftballon."
