Christina Ensel was a daughter of David Ensel and Hanna Fransman. She married Philip Wagenhuis in Amsterdam on 13 August 1914, a son of David Wagenhuis and Sara Muis.
Christina came from a family with 10 children. Three children have died before the war. Besides herself, all her other siblings, Rebecca, Abraham, Andries, Heintje, Manus and Raphael have been killed during the Holocaust.
