About Rebecca Vogel

Widow of Salomon Klepman, previously widowed from Jacob Frankfort.

Rebecca Vogel was a daughter of Levie Meijer Vogel and Sara Mossel. This couple had 4 children, among them Rebecca herself, Abraham, Barnet and Debora. Flora was a half-sister of Rebecca. She was a daughter from the 2nd marriage of Levie Meijer Vogel to Sara Dekker of Rotterdam.

Rebecca married Jacob Frankfort in 1900 in Amsterdam. He died in 1908. They had four children: Jacob, Abraham, Hartog and Simon. She married Salomon Benjamin Klepman in 1912 in Amsterdam. He died in 1922. They had three children: Levie, Isaäc and Joseph (who died at a young age).

After Rebecca Vogel was taken from home, she was carried off from the Panamakade to Westerbork on 8 March 1943 and deported to Sobibor on 10 March with 1104 other deportees. Upon arrival there on 13 March 1943, Rebecca Vogel was immediately murdered in the gas chambers.

Apart from that, this transport was the last in which the victims were transported in passenger cars. Livestock wagons were used in the subsequent deportation transports.
