Barend Abram was a son of Marcus Abram and Anna van Dam. He married 29 June 1905 in Amsterdam to Lena de Zwarte, a daughter of Ruben de Zwarte and Marianna Rijksman. The couple had three children, of whom one daughter and her husband have survived the war. Both other children, Marcus and Marianne have been killed during the Holocaust, together with their families.
Barend Abram was born in a family with five children, of whom two daughters have passed away before the war. Two of Barends other siblings, Mozes and Karel have been killed during the war too.
