Manuel Hilversum was a son of Salomon Hilversum and Johanna Zwaab. He married 14 June 1905 in Amsterdam to Grietje Frank, a daughter of Hartog Marcus Frank and Klaartje de Wilde.
The couple had eight children, of whom one baby-daughter has died only 7 months old. Their children Johanna, Clara and Salomon did not live anymore in their parent house: they lived elswhere in Amsterdam. At home were still the here mentioned children Lena, Hartog, Bertha and Jacob. They all have been killed during the Holocaust.
And there was Rachel de Meza. she lived in in the family of Manuel Hilversum. Her profession was housekeeper and she married in July 1942 their son Hartog.
Grietje Frank deceased on 14 February 1940 in Amsterdam and she was interred in the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen.
