Simon Bertus de Haas was a son of Lion de Haas and Carolina Polak. Simon de Haas co-owned the small oil and greasefactory of his father Lion de Haas at the Kerkstraat in Wierden. During the war, Simon de Haas, his wife and his parents went into hiding in Borne.
