Sara Mendels was a daughter of Abraham Mendels and Mina Davidson, a family with nine children, of whom six have died in the Holocaust: Sara self, Pietje, Betje, Emanuel, Hendrica and Levi. The other children have been died at young age.
Sara married in Weststellingwerf on 19 November 1918 to David Davidson, son of Izaak Davidson and Fronica de Lange.
