Hans Katz was placed in Huize Ten Vijver in The Hague circa 1939, with his sister Gretel. Huize Ten Vijver was a reception centre for Jewish children from Germany. Circa 10 May 1940 Huize Ten Vijver was evacuated and Hans Katz was placed in Rotterdam. At the The Hague municipal archive there is a small photo album of Huize Ten Vijver (fotoalbum klein 35), containing a picture of Hans Katz.
