The late Hugo and Herta Lesser's Details:
Our Grandmother, Helene Herta Lesser was born in Beuthen (Oberschlesien) on 20 September 1887. She died in Tel Aviv on January 28, 1958. She was the daughter of Sigismund Goldstein, b. Colonnowska on July 22, 1842, d. Beuthen April 27, 1913 and Johanna Perl-Goldstein, b. Sadzawka on October 26, 1849, d. Beuthen on March 1st 1922. . Our grandfather Hugo was born in Beuthen on April 3, 1876, and died in Bergen Belsen on June 18, 1944.He was the son of Dr. Rabbi Wolf Lesser (Rabbi in Bielitz. born October 4, 1845 in Kolberg, d. February 13, 1882 in Bielitz; and Emma Guttmann - Lesser, born 1851, d. December 20, 1895 in Beuthen).
Hugo and Herta first lived in Beuthen, where their oldest son, Wolfgang Lesser was born on 11 October 1911. He died in Jerusalem on 16 February 1995. He has two daughters, Leonie Rachel de Picciotto - Lesser, currently living in Geneva, Switzerland and Naomi Ballas, currently living in Jerusalem, Israel. Leonie has a son and a daughter, Michael and Miriam, each of them has two children.
Then came the daughter Lotte Lewald- Lesser, born in Beuthen on 6 March 1914. Died In Tel-Aviv. She had two daughters, Ruth Zeiger-Lewald, who was born in 1938, and died in Haifa, Israel around 1980, and Miriam Turgeman - Lewald, born on March 1, 1944 in Bergen-Belsen, and who is currently living in Alfei Menashe, Israel. She has three sons and Grandchildren.
There are 3 children of Ruth Zeiger-Lewald: Irit Stein, living in Boston, USA, Rani Zeiger, living in Qiryat Tivon, Israel and Orly Shemer, living in Haifa, Israel.they hsve children-
Hugo and Herta's third son was Shmuel (Theo) Lesser, born in 1922, Beuthen or Breslau, died on 4 July 1990, Kibbutz Gvaram, Israel. His two Daughters, Irit Sha'ani and Miriam Kelder, are living in Kibutz Gvaram, Israel with their children and grandchildren.
Eva Lesser- Berlinger, Hugo and Herta's youngest daughter, my late mother, was born in Beuthen, 20.05.1920 and died on 6 December 1976 in Haifa, Israel. Her husband, my father, was Simon Berlinger, born 11.06.14, died on 18 October 2010 in Haifa. We are two daughters - myself, Nurit Kahana, born 07.11.1948, I have two sons and two grandchildren and Edna Boden, born 03.01.1950, who has a daughter, Avivit Berkovich and a son, Yotam Bodan, and 4 grandchildren, all living in Haifa.
