Kaethe Hannes had three children. The oldest, Anna Amalia  [Annema]married Herbert Friedmann in Amsterdam. They had a child Eva Therese. Annema, her husband and child all fled from Amsterdam to London in 1939. Kaethe's younger two children Wilhelm Friedrich [Wilfred] and Maximilian Ruprecht [Maru] left Breslau in Germany and went to the US. All Kaethe's children survived .

Kaethe's sister Henrietta[Henny] Schalscha-Glaser together with her daughter Sybilla[Billy] survived the war in Ravensbruck concentration camp.

Kaethe's sister Edith Hamburger was taken by train  from Breslau  and died in  Fort IX Kaunas on Nov 29 1941. Her three children survived . Her other sister Franciska also from Breslau was unmarried and died probably in 1944 in Auschwitz
