According to the Deathbook (Totenbuch) from the Prisoners Hospital (Häftlingenkrankenbau) of Auschwitz III, Gerrit Pront has died there on 11 June 1944. This date differs from the official date of death of 21 January 1945, as has been established after the war by the Dutch Ministry of Justice. For the time being, the website joodsmonument.nl list only the official dates of death, as published at the time in the "Nederlandse Staatscourant" (Dutch Government Gazette) by the Ministry of Justice.
