About Siegfried Heumann and Helene Elvira Walthausen

Helene Elvira Walthausen (born in Maastricht) and Siegfried Heumann married on 24 March 1924 in Braunschweig.

Helene was a daughter of Arnold Walthausen (Maastricht 1865 - Braunschweig 1928) and Elsa Walthausen-Pohly (Wolfenbüttel 1877 - Auschwitz 1943)

The marriage was dissolved on May 16, 1938 in Berlin. Despite the divorce they were registered at the same address in The Hague from November 1938, at the Ruychrocklaan. From April 1939 they came to live in the  Daniël Stalpertstraat in Amsterdam. In January 1941 they move to the Gijsbrecht van Amstelstraat in Hilversum. From 23 July 1942 they live in Amsterdam again, at the Zuider Amstellaan 228.

Helene's mother, Elsa Walthausen-Pohly, lives with them in Hilversum and Amsterdam at the same addresses. 

Siegfried Heumann was deported from the French camp Drancy to Auschwitz, on 25 September 1942 with convoy N°37.
