Bruno Ucko

In Het Joodsche Weekblad van 20 maart 1942 staat een aankondiging van een concert van het Nieuw Joodsch Kamerorkest:
"Op Zondag 29 Maart a.s. des middags half drie, zal het Nieuw Joodsch Kamerorkest zijn negende abonnementsconcert geven in het gebouw Rapenburgerstraat 109. Solist op dit concert is de lyrische tenor Bruno Ucko.

Bruno Ucko was born on the 3th of December 1906 in Koenigsberg/ Prussia in Germany..His brother Henry Ucko was born as Heinz Zvi Ucko on 13th of May 1910 They were sons of Meir and Gittel Ucko. In 1936 Bruno had to leave the country after he had been warned he was on the Gestapo’s arrest list. He found asylum in Holland.
