I am aware of a Bertha Walthausen who was married to my grand uncle Henrik Adolf Philipse (born Antwerp 11 Feb 1881). They were married in Liege on 19 Nov 1907 and they had a daughter Renee Helene (born Antwerp on 11 Sept 1908).
That is all of of the information, I know about Bertha. I was not aware that she died in Auschwitz. I am not sure what happened to Henrik or Renee.

I have found a Renee Helene Philipse on your Survivors and Victims Database Renee was the daughter of Bertha Salm-Walthausen from her first marriage to Henrik Adolp Philipse (Renee is my 1st Cousin 1x Removed).
I notice that her mother Bertha Salm-Walthausen sadly died in Auschwitz.
Are you able to advise if Renees was a survivor or a victim?
