Op 12 september 1940 komen Ernest Frijda en zijn vrouw wonen op de Crocusstraa 27 in Wassenaar. Ernest Alfred Henri Philip Willem Frijda, zoals hij voluit heet, wordt geboren in Arnhem op 19 februari 1909 als zoon van Willem Michel Frijda (1884) en Paula Frijda – Anschel (1885).
