Elisabeth Isaäcs was one of the nine children of Abraham Isaäcs and Maria te Handel. Elisabeth married on the 24th of August 1892 to Josef Filippus van Gelderen. Josef Filippus was born in Renkum on the 14th June 1872 as the son of Salomon van Gelderen and Sara Preger. In June 1907 Elisabeth and Josef Filippus divorced.

Elisabeth Van Gelderen Isaacs is in het eerste transport van Westerbork naar Sobibor op transport gesteld. Het eerste transport was op 2 maart en bestond uit 1105 personen die allen na aankomst in Sobibor op 5 maart zijn omgebracht.
