Salomon Hilversum was a son of Jacob Hilversum and Heintje Kloot. His parents were divorced but both remarried. Salomon lived with his mother and stepfather. On 31 July 1942 Salomon Hilversum got married to Alida Lam. The ceremony took place in Rotterdam.
