Meijer Bobbe (Bob) was a son of Joël Bobbe and Rebecca Clasina Numeijer. He sold fruit on the market. He also bought up fruit and sweets which he then sold to other merchants. After the bombardment of Rotterdam he and his wife provided a place to sleep to many homeless families.
