Nathan Heiman was a tram-driver for Amsterdam city’s transport service (GVB) and his name is inscribed on the GVB monument.
Nathan Heiman and Saline Mietje had two children, both of whom went into hiding at the farm De Diekslag. One of them contracted tuberculosis from a cow in the cowshed and was taken to a sanatorium. Both children survived the war.
