Biography

The fate of Frederika Jegeva Oudkerk and her husband Michiel van Blijdenstein.

Frederika Jegeva Oudkerk was the only daughter from the first marriage of Izaäk Oudkerk and Aaltje Nijstat. She was born on 15 November 1913 at Ceintuurbaan 99, 2nd floor, in Amsterdam, where to her parents had moved at the end of August 1909, after getting married one month earlier.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 55922) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 1149/22769).

More about the transport of 31 August 1943 Westerbork -> Auschwitz.

INTRODUCTION: concerns the transports of 31 August and 7 September 1943.

Of these autumn transports from Westerbork -> Auschwitz of 31 August 1943 and also that of 7 September 1943, after selection on arrival, most of the men deemed suitable for work were transferred to the Ghetto in Warsaw to carry out rubble-clearing work, and a number women were put to work in Auschwitz-Birkenau.

More about the conclusions of the transports Westerbork -> Auschwitz on 31 August 1943 and on 7 September 1943Westerbork -> Auschwitz.

All male belonging to the above-mentioned two transports who had reached the age of 16 on the day after their arrival at Auschwitz (i.e. on 2 and 10 September 1943 respectively), but who were not yet 51 years of age, are, unless individually is known (see also chapter 1 paragraph 3 sub II) to have died in Warsaw, no later than 31 March 1944.
