Samuel (known as Sampie) Goldsteen was a son of Israël Goldsteen and Naatje Zeehandelaar. He was unmarried and lived together with his unmarried cousin Betje Goldsteen, the daughter of Samuel Goldsteen and Jansje Cohen.
Sampie Goldsteen, who had difficulty walking because he had suffered from polio as a boy, ran a newsstand at Kerkplein in Meppel. In January 1942 this newsstand was closed down by…
