Willy Eichenwald and his family

After their marriage Willy Eichenwald and his wife lived in Remscheid, where they had two sons. On 3 October 1936 the family emigrated to the Netherlands. When the war broke out on 10 May 1940 the family lived in Tuindorp on the Regentesselaan 19 in Utrecht. On 21 April 1943 the family was deported to Westerbork, where they stayed until 14 September 1943 when they were deported to Auschwitz. The s…

"Arbeitslager Oud Leusden” was a labor camp near Camp Amersfoort. The official name of Camp Amersfoort was” Polizeiliches Durchgangslager Amersfoort”, abbreviated PDA.

The person who is mentioned on this page, belonged to a group of approximately 70 men who were “lent” from the Vught concentration camp to the PDA, the Polizeiliches Durchgangslager Amersfoort, on 20 May 1943.
