On Saturday, 11 April 1942, at 7.00 PM, ten Jewish residents of Leeuwarden were arrested in retaliation for removing the sign 'No Jews allowed' from a public bench in the Vossepark. They were sent to the camp at Amersfoort. Jacob Krammer was among them. He was married to Ruchla Laca Krammer-Wachter. The couple lived at 7 Arendsstraat in Leeuwarden.
