Hilda Berg

The police commissioner of Hengelo requested that Hilda Berg be located, detained and brought to trial. A resident of Hengelo, she was suspected of having changed her place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

David Berg and Luise Portje are buried at the Jewish cemetery of the town of Hengelo. A photograph of their tombstone is available at the website of the Oorlogsgravenstichting.

David Berg had been married before. With his first spouse, Sophie Frankenhuis (1881-1929), he had four children. Hilda Berg was one of them, as were Samson Samuel Berg and Rosa Berg.
