Herman Hugo Serphos

The Police Commissioner of Enschede requested that Herman Hugo Serphos be located, detained and brought in. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

De huidige familie Serphos c.q. Serfhos te Enschede ontstond aan het begin van de 19^e eeuw met de broers Salomon Urias en Nathan Urias (later Serphos genoemd) afkomstig uit het Duitse “Flecken” Anrath/Anroot (nu Willich) gelegen nabij de grens van Duitsland met Frankrijk.
