The Enschede police commissioner requested that Levie Gompers, residing in Enschede, be located, detained and brought to trial. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Levie Gompers was een van de vier kinderen (alle vier jongens) van Benjamin Gompers [1867 Nijmegen - 1941 Gouda] en Grietje van Kloeten [1863 Zierikzee -1901 Amsterdam].
Zijn vader hertrouwde in 1902 met Reintje Beem [Elburg 1863]
