The Police Commissioner of Deventer requested that Leonhard Prinz be located, detained and brought to trial. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Leonhard kwam pas in 1940 in Deventer wonen.
Hij was een palestinapionier en woonde in het huis Beth Chaloets in de Papenstraat. Dit huis werd beheerd door de Deventer Vereniging tot vakopleiding voor Palestinapioniers (opgericht in 1918 door o.a. Ru Cohen). Een herdenkingsteken op dat pand herinnerd daar nog aan.
