In 1915, Keetje de Groot married Herman Reijzer, born in 1857. They both belonged to the Nederlands-Israëlitisch Kerkgenootschap (Dutch-Jewish Congregation). In 1921, Keetje and Herman left Amsterdam to live in The Hague. For several years, they lived in Noorderbeekdwarsstraat, and in 1924 they moved to Piet Heinstraat.
