Mozes Schellevis

Mozes Schellevis was betrayed, arrested and imprisoned in Scheveningen (Oranjehotel). From there he was brought to concentrationcamp Amersfoort and then deported to Auschwitz.

According to tradition Mozes Schellevis and his non-Jewish spouse tried to flee to England in 1941. After a failed attempt they were interrogated in The Hague and in a seperate room of the Oranjehotel in Scheveningen. The wife of Mozes Schellevis survived concentration camp Ravensbrück.
