The grandparents of David Israëls (1882) were Mozes Sanders Israëls and Rachel Levie de Vries. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 5580/8706).

The mayor of Grijpskerk requested that David Israëls be located, detained and brought to trial. He had left his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
