Jaak Penha

In addition, a Jokos file (number 33551) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 9192 / 11205).

De vader van Jaak 'Jacques' Penha schreef op 4 september 1942 een briefje aan de rector van het Joods Lyceum in Den Haag, om te laten weten dat zijn zoon de lessen niet kon bijwonen aangezien hij naar Polen was gedeporteerd. Het briefje staat afgedrukt in het boek van Bart van der Boom, Den Haag in de Tweede Wereldoorlog (Den Haag 1995) 166.
