Charlotte Mendels was a daugther of Jacob Levie Mendels and Cato Gomperts. She married in Arnhem 21 June 1905 Maurits van Gelder from Deventer, who already passed away in 1915 in Arnhem. In 1932 Charlotte moved to Den Haag.
She was born into a family of eight children, of whom she self and her brothers Lion and Adolf have been killed during the Shoah.
