Rudi Speijer, an office clerk, was unmarried. He lived in The Hague. After his parents were raided, he started to roam around. He carried out resistance work, including the falsification of identity cards. On 6 September 1942, he was picked up and imprisoned in the penal centre in Scheveningen. From there, he was deported to Auschwitz via Westerbork.
