Heinz Lewin

Heinz Lewin was married in 1927. The Lewins had three children. In 1940 Heinz fled from Breda to France, where he was later arrested. His wife and children moved to Tilburg after his flight and later also to France. They survived the war.

Heinz Lewin was musicus en maakte in Auschwitz-Birkenau enige tijd deel uit van het kamporkest.

Heinz Lewin vluchtte in 1935 met zijn gezin naar Nederland. Op 28 februari 1935 wordt hij ingeschreven in Breda op het adres Veemarktstraat 30a. Op 28 juni 1939 verhuist het gezin naar Nieuwe Huizen 32.

Heinz vlucht in mei 1940 richting zuiden, wordt in België opgepakt en komt via Drancy in Auschwitz terecht.

Heinz Lewin werd gedeporteerd uit Drancy met Transport 42 op 06-11-1942 naar Auschwitz, samen met vrouw en kinderen die allen de oorlog hebben overleefd.
