Benjamin Mozes Cohen was married to Naatje Korper. They had twins (Koosje and Vrouwkje) and a daughter Diena. The family lived in Douwen across from the Vos garage. Their house was known as the 'Jeud'n hoes' (Jew house). The Cohens were poor. Other villagers sometimes gave Naatje hand-me-downs for her children.
